Vehicle Towing / Flat Towing and "Two Up" Towing
If you are interested in being able to pull your car, truck or SUV behind your Motorhome, Boyer RV has several options to enable just that. There are 3 ways to go about this:
*Note-for all three means listed, you must have frame integral hitch installed on your motorhome. If you do not have a hitch, Boyer RV Service can install or fabricate one for your needs. Contact Us for Details and Pricing..
Four up towing means you will actually put the vehicle onto a trailer and pull it. We do offer car hauler trailers in both Flat Bed Car Trailers and Enclosed Car Trailers.

"Two up towing" picks up just the front two wheels (rear if rear wheel drive) onto what is known as a tow-dolly. Boyer RV offers several lines of tow-dollies.
The other option provides probably the most appealing method. It leaves the vehicle flat on the ground and pulls from a bracket system attached to the towed vehicle known as a base plate. The Tow-bar will then attach to the RV's hitch. Tow bars are often used in conjunction with a supplemental braking system and transmission fluid pump(See below). Boyer RV Center concentrates on two leading manufacturers. Blue Ox and Demco both offer a superior product with great value.
Evaluate our different options below and call us to decide which will satisfy your requirements:
Demco offers an economy tow bar known as the Kwik-Tow, a reliable product at a great price. The Excali-Bar upgrades to Stainless Steel connecting arms and an improved split shank receiver. Built primarily of aircraft grade aluminum alloy, The Aluminator weighs just 25 lbs. It offers all the features of the Excali-bar, but with a lightweight, corrosion resistant construction. We've recently undertaken a new line of towbars from Blue Ox. They've developed 6 different bars, providing considerable range for different conditions. They also include a lifetime warranty. You can see and compare all six on Blue Ox's Site, Click Here for Tow Bars.
Two things to consider when flat towing are Supplemental Braking and Transmission Protection:
By using a Brake Buddy Braking System, you can ensure that towing your vehicle will not disturb your RV's braking ability. It is an ingenius design that will mechanically control your vehicles brakes. It is self contained, plugs into your cars 12V outlet(cigarette lighter), and is lightweight and easy to set-up. Call or stop in and see it yourself.

If you're towing an automatic transmission, front wheel drive vehicle, it is important to protect your transmission. When your engine is running, it pumps transmission fluid in order to keep itself cool. When towing, however, the pump will not run and this could damage the transmission. The Lube Pump from Remco will ensure your transmission keeps cool and prevents damage. Give us a call and we can professionally install this neccessary safeguard in your automobile.
